21.01.07 - The european e-zine by young consumers Yomag.net was completely relaunched with the support of EU in the framework of the Transition Facility Programme.
Teachers and students are very welcome to join and share their opinions and experience in the form of articles and comments.

13.07.06 - SOS is glad of European commission�s conclusion of the discussion about cutting roaming prizes. An EU regulation that would cut the cost of using mobile phones abroad by up to 70% was tabled by the Commission today. In EU calling home from abroad or calling a third country, would cost customers maximum 49 cents per minute, for local calls, the retail price would be maximum 33 cents per minute, and receiving a call, the retail price would be about 16.5 cents per minute. It could come into effect by summer 2007.

01.07.06 - Prague consumers information center�s address has been changed. New address is: Ryt��sk� ulice �. 10, Praha 1. Because of new facilities SOS is able to provide better service for consumers. Opening hours have not been changed yet, in foreseeable future we would like to extend them.

31.01.06 - SOS and GARDE-EPS have brought the action against Czech Airlines (CSA). CSA forbids their clients to change gift vouchers for air tickets after the date of 30.6. 2006 which were sold within the action �Christmas 2005 � present an adventure certificate�. Acording to czech law is this ban illegitimite.

01.09.05 - SOS follows attentively the reaction of the banking houses offerring its services in Czech republic to an effort of Ministry of Finance to guarantee for its clients better conditions.

18.07.05 - SOS warned turists travelling to Italy of purchasing counterfeit designer products as it may lead to a fine of up to 10 000 ďż˝.

02.07.05 - SOS joined a campaign to prevent the approval of the directive on software patents.

30.06.05 - SOS welcomed gradual cancelling of the fees for closing a bank account in different banks. These fees might be one of the reasons for high fee levels in the Czech Republic.

27.06.05 - SOS pushed for an quick and for consumers effective implementation of the number portability in mobile networks.

24.05.05 - SOS joined the Europe-wide campaign of BEUC to improve the proposal for nutritional and health labelling of foodstuffs in the EU.
